Monirah is working on strengthening her abdominal muscles post child birth and on correcting diastasis recti associated with child birth. She is working on “table top”; ideally where one’s knees are directly over the hips and the lower legs, or tibias, are parallel to the floor. Notice how when her arms pass through the most difficult part of the arc, she ever so slightly lifts her feet upward and moves her knees inward. This is happening as it makes the exercise “easier’ to complete. As she gains strength in her abdominals, enough to stabilize her pelvis and hold her lower spine in a neutral position, this will no longer happen. Nice work Monirah!
